Today

Your movement, the next challenge and a quick way to add a record.

The refreshed Today screen is in Mobile 1.8.0 Preview. Use the team's current installation link; this update does not change the browser app yet.

What appears on Today?

Your companion greets you beside the date. When a published challenge is available, Today shows one relevant challenge, prioritising an open challenge you have joined. Otherwise, your daily movement and Add a record are the main actions.

Add a record opens the existing food, blood-pressure and glucose recording flow. An available welcome reward or reserved claim adds a shortcut to Welcome rewards. An upcoming event or a club you belong to may also appear.

How do I connect steps?

Choose Connect steps and allow Steps access in your phone's health permission screen. Only Steps is requested, with no write access. MedBuk remembers this choice for the signed-in account. A different account must choose Connect separately.

The daily total comes from your phone's health service and stays on your phone. It starts at local midnight. Updates occur automatically while Today is open and when you return to it; the health service can delay new readings.

A dash means no reading is available. Check access in your health app and try Connect again. Denied access and an empty health history can look the same on iPhone. Unsupported devices show an explanation; they never display generated steps.

Are daily steps my challenge score?

No. Challenge steps count from joining within that challenge's time window. Today shows your last saved challenge score, its measurement time and your rank when available. A private leaderboard choice is shown as Private.

Choose Join challenge to continue through sign-in and the challenge's rules and sharing choices. Open tracking takes an enrolled participant to tracking controls. Today itself does not start a competition tracker or submit a score.

Current Preview scores are provisional and not eligible for prizes. A final-sync window permits delivery of earlier steps; steps taken after closing do not count. Any future prize competition needs its own published rules and verified results.

What happens when the connection drops?

Today retains the last successful snapshot, labels delayed updates and retries automatically. Records remains accessible. Returning to Today or reconnecting requests an update; you do not need a Refresh button.

Signing out or switching accounts clears the previous account's home-screen state. If your session is no longer valid, sign in again. Empty event listings mean no published activity is available to that account, not a failed signup.
